Quarterly report Q2 2026
Stable operations and continued high lending growth
The accounts at the end of Q2 show relatively stable development within the bank’s core operations. Net interest income and net commission income are somewhat down, mainly due to a somewhat lower interest rate level and lower margins on loans transferred to Eika Boligkreditt (EBK). Defaults remain at a low level – the same applies to losses and write-downs. Operating costs show a moderate increase compared with the same period last year – the increase mainly relates to personnel costs. Dividends from Eika Gruppen, as well as tax deductions for customer dividends paid, are significant items that have a positive isolated effect in Q2.
The growth rate in loans remains high compared with the general development in our primary market area. Total lending growth over the past 12 months amounts to 11,1 % – including loans transferred to EBK. Overall customer deposits also show positive and solid development – growth over the past 12 months amounts to 7,8 %.
Result, Q2 2026
For Q2, the bank achieved a pre-tax profit of NOK 107,9 million, compared with NOK 125,3 million for the previous year. The reduction in profit is mainly due to lower net interest income and net commission income, as well as somewhat lower dividends from Eika Gruppen. Defaults remain at a low level – the same applies to losses and write-downs.
Profit after tax was NOK 111,1 million, compared with NOK 124,5 million for the previous year.

As at 30.06.2026, the bank achieved a pre-tax profit of NOK 175,4 million, compared with NOK 199,9 million for the previous year. The reduction in profit is mainly due to the same factors as for Q2 in isolation. Operating expenses at the end of Q2 are somewhat up compared with the same period last year – this is mainly due to higher personnel costs following the establishment of a new branch office in Sandnes. We also see a continued reversal of losses and write-downs in the first half-year.
Profit after tax was NOK 163,1 million, compared with NOK 180,8 million for the previous year.
